We have heavily fossilled like the Jura stone, or delicately fossilled like the Moleanos Beige/Blue, to plain creams and whites Marble  generally speaking is older denser Limestone which under heat and pressure has metamorphised in a harder denser stone, which can be polished to a mirror like finish. We also have tumbled and brushed stones, which are softer underfoot and have a timeworn look to them. We also have granite, slate, terracotta, quartz, shellstone, sandstone etc. Travertine is a sedimentary stone that is popular for its warm hues and its cream/beige tones. Quality is a big issue with Travertine, as there is a lot of inferior grade material imported into the UK.
